In 2011, it was made public that forklift truck accidents had fallen by around 67% since the Fork Lift Truck Association started with its yearly National Forklift Safety Week campaign. The statistics are very promising, with only five workers in the United Kingdom having been killed during 2009/10. This is a great reduction, since there had been sixteen deaths just two years prior.
